Akatsuki Konan

The Akatsuki was an organization of criminals in Naruto who all had a great degree of depth to them aside from the sadistic albeit one-note Hidan. She is now the current leader of Amegakure. While she was often upstaged by her partner-in-crime Pain Konan was one of the many powerful shinobi who made up the Akatsuki.

As citizens of Amegakure who had been orphaned by the Second Shinobi World War the three created Akatsuki as a way to bring peace to their home country which too often got caught in the crossfire of the Five Great Shinobi Countries many conflicts.

Akatsuki She later became the leader of Amegakure after defecting from Akatsuki. After Yahiko s death she was partnered with Nagato who had since taken control of Akatsuki and was the only member to call him by his name. Konan is the only female ninja in Akatsuki. Being a partner of Nagato Konan was also a pupil under Jiraiya after she was orphaned as a child by one of Amegakure s many wars and forced to fend for herself. Because she serves under Nagato she is referred to by villagers of Amegakure as Konan trained alongside Nagato and Yahiko and aside from being a founding member she was also the only female Akatsuki member. Konan Konan was a kunoichi from Amegakure and a founding member of the original Akatsuki.
